Gemini’s Calendar gives you daily, weekly or monthly views of your data. You can choose to show your data by Start Date, Due Date or Duration. Whichever of these you choose, you can easily identify your tasks within the Calendar because Gemini lets you choose from a wide variety of fields, which field to color by.

If you navigate to the Calendar you will see the following screen:

image

From the Range Selector, choose whether you want Gemini to display a Monthly (default), Weekly or Daily view. The cog on the right of the Range Selector will present a drop-down list with Start Date, Due Date or Duration to select from. If you select Duration, this will be displayed as a narrow square linking the Start Date to the Due Date. Immediately below the Date Type or Duration selection is the color by choice, where you can choose from a wide variety of fields. Each task on the Calendar has a narrow strip that will be colored according to the selected color by field.

Changing tasks on the Calendar

To change the Start Date or Due Date of a task while working with the Start Date or Due Date, simply click and drag it to where you want it to be.To change the Start Date or Due Date of a task when looking at its Duration, you can drag the task or you can move to the left or right edges of the task as defined by the Duration box, grab the left or right hand edge and drag that. The left hand edge of the task reflects the Start Date, the right hand edge the Due Date.

You can drill into the detail of any task by clicking on it in the Calendar, in which case Gemini will take you to the View Item change where the task can be edited, moved or deleted.

Gemini will commit changes done on the Calendar immediately and if any Resource are allocated to the task and have the Outlook plug-in then these changes will be reflected in updates to their Outlook Calendar and Tasks List.
