Resolutions are optional but recommended. They are used mostly as an addendum to a Status, to provide a more granular level of description. For example, the Status of an issue could be that it cannot be replicated, in which case you might wish to add a Resolution Code “Unresolved”, to allow you to treat the Status as Final (see Project Templates: Status, Priority and Severity) while acknowledging that a future examination should see that the ‘issue’ may potentially re-occur.
To create Resolution Codes, navigate to the navigate to the Customization section from the Customize link in the top right hand section of the menu , the Templates tab and the Resolution sub tab. You will see the following screen:
To Add a new Resolution code, click on the Add button. You will be prompted to provide:
Click Save to create the Resolution code.
To maintain the Label or Resolved Checkbox value, click in the appropriate field and use Gemini’s inline editing to easily and instantly change the field value. To delete a Resolution code, click on the Delete icon to the right of the screen. You will be required to specify an alternative value that any items in the deleted code will be recoded to. This is to ensure that there are no orphaned records in your data, with Resolution codes that do not exist in the Template.
Ordering Resolution Codes
To the left of the Resolution Code icon is a drag handle . Position the mouse over this region and you can drag-drop the Resolution Codes to reorder them. Resolution codes will appear in the Visual Planner in the order in which they appear on the Template.
