Project Templates have made the process of creating projects in Gemini very simple. The Template defines most of the metadata structure of the project and all of its data capture and workflow. What remains as tasks for the project administrator, when creating a project, is to choose a code, a name, define the group that the project will belong to, select the Template and Permission Set and choose some project options.
To create or maintain a project, navigate to the Customization section using the Customize link in the top right hand section of the page and select the Projects tab.
Gemini lets you group your projects any way you like and the system defines a system group called “All Projects”. You can group projects any way that you need to; by business unit, by department, by line of business or by role, it really is up to you. To create or maintain a project group click on the “Labels” sub tab. You will see the following screen:
To Add a new Label, click on the Add button. You will be prompted to provide:
Click Save to create the Label.
To maintain the Label value click in the appropriate field and use Gemini’s inline editing to easily and instantly change the field values. To change the project(s) associated with this Label click on the Edit icon and make your changes.
To delete a Label, click on the Delete icon to the right of the screen. You will be warned about the number of projects that will now be unlabelled should you continue and allowed to abort or proceed.
To create or maintain a project definition click on the “Projects” sub tab. You will see the following screen:
To Add a new Project, click on the Add button. You will be prompted to provide:
Click Save to create the project.
