Visual Studio 2005 Addin: Cant login to Gemini
Hi.
I've just upgraded our Gemini to 3.0.4 and am trying to get the Visual Studio 2005 add-in to work.
It seems to have installed ok, but when I click on the little lock icon on the Gemini panel and enter the server details, it just keeps telling me I've entered the incorrect username and password, even though I haven't.
My question is: how can I tell that it's actually finding my gemini web server? Does it handle the fact that we're using a Host Header in IIS?
Please let me know if there is anything I can try to see if there's a config issue.
Thanks

Please send us debug output from DebugView, which can be downloaded and installed from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896647.aspx |

DebugView! What an awesome tool! First it told me: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Web.Services3, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. So I downloaded and installed the WSE 3.0 runtime from Microsoft from here: After restarting IIS on the Gemini server, I got this message: Creation time of the timestamp is in the future. This typically indicates lack of synchronization between sender and receiver clocks. Make sure the clocks are synchronized or use the timeToleranceInSeconds element in the microsoft.web.services3 configuration section to adjust tolerance for lack of clock synchronization. So I fixed the time on the server, as it was out by 20 mins. Finally it said: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized ---> System.InvalidOperationException: WSE563: The computed password digest doesn't match that of the incoming username token. So I typed my password in correctly, and, HEY PRESTO, it works beautifully! Thanks for putting me onto that tool! Cheers Adam |
