usernameTokenManager error
I have finally got passed all the other issues I have been having with this and now I am getting this error:
The security token could not be authenticated or authorized --> wse562: The incoming username token contains a password hash. The built-in UsernameTokenManager does not support this type of UsernameToken. Please see the documentation for more details on teh UsernameTokenManager.AuthenticateToken method.
I installed WSE 3.0 on the machine because the web.config for 2.1.1 Issue Tracker has it listed for the webservices. I see that you mention somewhere else that WSE 3.0 doesn't work. So which am I supposed to use - 2.0 with the service pack or 3.0? Any idea on why I cannot get this thing to work?

You need WSE 3.0 if you are running Gemini 2.1.x.

That is what I said I have installed. |

Are using the latest version of the screen capture app? |

Sorry, my web server was down. So I can not replicate it! Can you please try and connect to http://gemini.countersoft.com/? |

It looks like I can because I received a message asking for a valid user ID instead of the one I keep receiving. So something is getting through. |

This points to a server issue. Are you running 2.1.x with .NET 2.0 and WSE 3.0? |

I am running 2.1.1 gemini on our server |

What do you get when navigating to a web service page in a browser? For example: http://localhost/gemini/webservices/authws.asmx |

I had to create a new account, so this is still me. |

Are you sure that you are entering the correct password? If yes, then try an incorrect one. |

Same error received with anything I try. I tried different usernames, different passwords, etc.. I always get the same error. |

Is this an upgrade (Gemini web app), if so are you using the old web.config file? |

It is an upgrade, and I am pretty sure I am using the new web.config. What do I need to look for specifically. |
||||

|
Search for all Microsoft.Web and make sure it is 3 and not 2 (microsoft.web.services3) |

I checked and they are all correct |

The only other thing I can think of is that you are connecting to the wrong version Gemini. Did you check that the URL for the screen capture app is for 2.1.1? |
||||

I am not sure I understand what you are asking. What do I need to check? The url for the screen app? Where do I check that? |
||||

do I need to change the "GeminiUserID"=dword:00000001 in the gsc.reg? |

I am getting a new error now: |

I messed around with the web.config, making small changes then changing them back, also making sure that I had the settings we had talked about before. Now I am back to the original error message about the security token |

I do have version 1.1 of the .NET framework installed (along with 2.0). Will this cause a problem? |
||||

Not that I know of. Can you try installing Gemini on another box to test this? |

Here are install requirements for WSS 3.0: |

I can see if we have another place to install. Obviously it is something on the gemini setup, because I was able to post pics to your Gemini site. |

All your other messages are not to do with this. The user id entry is not used.

Ok, well, I will see if I can get it on another site. If there are any configuration settings I should look at on Gemini, or with WSE 3.0, or whatever, then let me know. |
