Cannot install Gemini Outlook Add-on on windows 7

ms-outlook
add-ons

When trying to install the application everything is ok - until the very end when the installation is aborted with the following text:

You do not have sufficient privileges to complete this installation for all users of the machine. Log on as administrator and then retry this installation

I am locked in as a administrator - and I have tried with the following types of users without any luck:
- Local user in local admin group
- Domain user in local admin group
- Local user not in local admin group
- Domain user not in local admin group

Please advice

Kind regards

Can you try and install it to a different location?
Also, did you try running the msi as administrator (right click -> run as admin)?

You cant run msi as administrator in windows 7 - and I have tried to login as a local administrator - see original post.

I have tried to specifiy C:\CounterSoft Outlook Addin\ as destination - but same result.

Can You reproduce the error ?

I had no problem installing the vs2008 plugin - I noticed that you use a different installer for this addin.

No, we can't reproduce this using windows 7 Ultimate.
Which version are you running?

We can't reproduce this at all. Did you try it on another machine with windows 7?

I have exactly the same problem. I am running a windows 7 enterprise. (stand alone). It really doesn’t matter witch directory I try to specify.

Could you supply me the files nn a zip, and some information on how to install I package manault. I could really use the app. :-)

Found a workaround. - I enabled the administrator account on my box, - logged on as the local administrator. - Installed the software (no problem) - Logged in as the real user, and re-ran the msi installer, selecting the “repair” option.

I found out the even though the user is member of the administrators group, there are still some directories witch is restricted.
