v3.1: Severity (new field) and Priority field

web-app

Gemini 2.3 version has Priority field with statuses:  Trivial, Minor, Major, Show Stopper
Gemini 3.1 version has Severity field with: all above statuses and Low, High (default)

For me, it makes more sense if

Priority field with status: Trivial, Low, High
Severity field with status: Trivial, Minor, Major, Show Stopper

So, when I migrate from v2.3 to v3.1, the existing issues with "show stopper" priority now also have "show stopper" severity (I removed Show Stopper from Priority Status Scheme that i am using for the projects - priority drop down list only has Trivial, Low, High).

How should we migrate the statuses from Priority to Severity? If we keep everything as default in Gemini 3.1, we'll have Priority status, but Severity status for same issue is blank.

It explains how to mvoe the old priority items to the new ones.

I did the bulk move for issues around to appropriate severity statuses, but ISSUES BY SEVERITY still shows that there is no issue with neither trivial, minor, major, show stopper status (all zero).  When i clicked on a single issue, the issue has both severity type and priority type assigned to it correctly.

Does the filter work as expected?

Did you run create_procs.sql?

The filter doesn't work right when I filtered with "major" severity, same problem for "minor".  I know there are issues with major and minor severity in the selected project.  If I do filter with priority or severity field, it doesn't give me anything in result, that is wrong.  But if i do filter with issue type, it works right.

I ran createprocs.sql with other scripts: createtables.sql and create_views.sql.
Do i need to run it again after bulk move issues between priority and severity?

Are you sure that these issues are not closed?

You do not have to re-run the create_procs.sql.

Uh, it works now.  Because I had "exclude closed issues" check marked before.  [:$]

So, filter works right, but ISSUE BY SEVERITY still shows all zeros

We can not tell from this image as we do not know which status is marked as final in your database.

"Closed" is marked as "final" status on my gemini_issuestatus table

I solved the problem [Y]
The problem is that in the severity scheme, i didn't select the ones for Severity (but I selected the ones for priority because they have the same icons, can't tell which "minor" is for severity, which "minor" is for priority, etc.)

I think the problem is that I did the severity scheme before moving the issues between severity and priority with Administrator -> Severity editing. [:D]
