Add resources to existing projects

web-app

I seem cannot find a place to add users as resources to existing projects on Gemini 3.0.4
Can anyone please tell me where I can find it? I assume there is still such feature in this new version of Gemini

Thanks,
Kim

This is now a security permission. You set it in the scheme for the project.

then what can i do with the existing list of Resources in the project (next to the Component column)? It seems like that list either can be delete but not add more in.  If the program managers want to know the available resources of his/her project so that he/she can assign the issue to, looking at that Resources list does not give him/her enough information.

This is the Resources list i'm talking about. It is funny that with Gemini 3.0.4, even though it lists that Ryan Bass (for example from the picture above) has 0 issues assigned to him, but when I clicked on that 0 link, it shows all the issues in that project (not only issues assigned to him).

Supposedly, it should show no issue according to the list.

In consistently, i click on link 4 of Martin Harding, it shows me exactly 4 issues assigned to Martin in this project.  But I clicked on 4  link of ixt devteam, it shows all the "unscheduled" issues (including those assigned to Lauren, Jeremey, Karen, ixtdevteam, etc.).  Also, link 1 of client services leads to the exact same result as link 4  of ixtdevteam

Any comment? It seems like this list is outdated and doesn't have a way to update it, plush, it doesn't work consistently.

This is the first time we've seen this. Seems like a setup / upgrdae issue.

You can see our own Gemini: http://gemini.countersoft.com/default.aspx?GEM works as expected.

Is it possible to send us you DB?

i don't think we are allowed to.  How about I setup a webex session and invite you, then we can work together with you access to my machine?

I figured out why it displayed ALL unscheduled issues when I clicked on ixtdevteam even though it listed that ixtdevteam has 4 issues assigned to it.

I compared the results between v2 (production) and v3 (testing version) of gemini, i see the difference is that "ixtdevteam" is not listed in the resources box (listed on the left side, toward the bottom of the page, above keyboard box).  Same deal with resource name "clientservices"

I don't know why it is not listed in the resources box but listed on Resources list.

========

I checked in the geminiusers table, the ixtdevteam with userid=40 is listed there.  I double checked on the gemini administrator page, users, search for ixtdevteam, it lists the correct user (ixtdevteam) with same userid as on the geminiusers table.

====

I tried to add ixtdevteam user to the project with "assignable to issue" but it seems doesn't work.  First, nothing is available in the user drop down list.  Secondly, I typed in ixtdevteam user mannually and clicked add button, it didn't do anything.

You need to start typing in the user box and then open the box.

The problems you have are because the users are not set to be project resources.

as you can see, it is listed as RESOURCES in the list (look at my first screenshot) with issues assigned to it.   During the migration, i don't know what went wrong but i got no error executing the scripts

a. Upgrade_v2-1.sql

b. Upgrade_v2-2.sql

c. Create_tables.sql

d. Create_view.sql

e. Create_procs.sql

f. Upgrade_v3-0-step1.sql

g. Upgrade_v3-0-step2.sql

The first screenshot is from users assigned to issues not project resources neccesarly.

After the migration you have to look at the security scheme and groups. We always suggest to start from scratch.
