User Management
I can't figure out how to actually assign users to a project. I want to assign users and projects leads, but I can't figure out how to. Can someone please help? I have v 3.0.3.

Are you looking to add resources to your project or access for users? You do this via the security scheme, you assign the user / group to a security scheme for the project. |

I am also finding this very difficult. I've created a security scheme for the project I want to allow my customer to track but I can't see any way to actually add the user to the sheme. The user drop down is empty. I've tried to assign the global group and the project group created for this project and I can see these in the scheme. How do I then assign the user to the Project Group? Many thanks.. as I want to create multiple customer users and give them limited access to only their own projects. We did this in Basecamp and it was really easy. I can see there is more going on with Gemini but I still think this is a fundamental and should be logical for a non-developer to do. |

The user combo will populate as you strat typing. It will be empty until then. To assign a user to a project group you will need to go (as project admin) to the project home page and then project administration. You will see a link to associate the users with project groups there (right hand side). |

Thanks Saar. I have certainly learned something I didn't know. I had no idea that the combo box would pre-fill when you start to type a user name. It's not the expected behaviour for a drop down so I didn't think to try that. I am an admin user and still can't find that link to assign my user to a project. Can you try and explain that again. I can see Project Adminstration and am now the lead on the project but I don's see the link you refer to. Thanks Marcus |

If you are looking for adding users to project groups then go to the admin section of the project in question, click on "Project Groups" (right hand side), select the project group and the user to add. If you are looking to add resources to your project (assign users to issues) then you will have to add the user / group etc... to the "assignable to issues" role in the scheme. |

Saar. I am having such a difficult time with this and it's eating up a lot of time. I am now totally stuck as all pages are showing me this error - A potentially dangerous Request.Cookies value was detected from the client (seraph.os.cookie="...BaCkuS>bFY<ppY<yfc5").We had this fixed by adding the site to the Trusted zone but it's now in the intranet zone and that doesnt seem to help. |

As it's working in Firefox...the user is already a member of the Project Group. The problem is that the Project does not show the users assigned to that Group. My users log in ok but they see nothing as they are not assigned to the project. Also, Gemini is taking 15-20 seconds to load each page. It's painfully slow to use. Is there any way to speed it up? |
