Looks very good. When it will be released (beta and final)?

Thanks for the information. I will look forward to Gemini 3. Could you please provide a list of major features and improvements in comparison to current release? I know this page:
http://gemini.countersoft.com/project/RoadMap.aspx?PROJID=2
but which features are major against competitors products in your opinion?

  • Visual Studio IDE add-in to allow Developers to use Gemini right inside their development environment
  • Document management per project (revamped)
  • Screen Schemes: decide what fields are visible when and by whom
  • Improved scheduling

Yes, the BETA is due out before XMAS, with full release by end of Jan 2008.

This is a major release that has got plenty of new features, so took a little longer than we thought.

BETA will be released next week - online only (hosted on our server).

We are at the moment doing testing on this, so no ETA for downloaded BETA yet.

Hi,

How are things looking for the release? I'm really keen to try it out, can beta test internally (we have already purchased Gemini and been using for 2 yrs now) with pleasure as this new version has lots of features we are looking for.

Cheers

Si

We are in the process of clearing up some bugs before we can give public access.

We will announce on the forums when ready and when a BETA for download is ready.

Thanks,

Saar.

Hi Guys,

So what is the latest? Original release was December, now mid Feb and we are aching to get hold of a copy - the roadmap in Gemini does not look like it's anytime soon so please advise!

Si

It seems to you've made 2.2.7 instead of 3.0 beta :-)

Just upgraded our install to 2.2.6 last week. Didn't realize that v3 is being considered for Beta release. Looks like it's delayed quite a bit. Obviously it will help considering some neat features that are planned. I will really like to see the Priority and Severity broken out into two. That's my biggest challenge with my current Gemini install. All of my users pick Show Stopper for getting issues fixed in a jiffy.

.... After this release: MS TFS, MS Project integration.

6 month later ...

What about integration with TFS?

That is needed very much!

Best regards,

Bytor.

You are right, TFS has slipped back.

3.5 ships this week.
3.6 is just UI enhancements and ships in about 2 months.

Then comes TFS...

...that's the plan.
