There is no way of doing it out of the box.

You will have to create a text custom field and fill in the details.

Saar, might I suggest that the ability to directly email Gemini users that are associated to an issue be added to the application.

The ideal scenario might be a form that allows any combination of Gemini users that are either Assignable Resources or the Reported By user to be a recipient (or be CCed). Attachments should be possible as well.

I'd also provide the option to log the email contents as a comment to the issue (complete with any attachments).

This could also work with the existing comment screen providing the ability to directly email the contents of that comment as described above. This is probably a quicker solution to implement, but there are benefits to having a separate email screen.

Thoughts?

David,

Are you asking for an email button when viewing an issue that automatically forces an email alert to issue resources and reporter?

Somewhat.

The second option I presented was just to add an "Email Control" to the comment screen.

That control would be the list of Gemini users associated with the issue- all assignable resources as well as the user that reported the issue (they all have email addresses stored within Gemini).

The user creating the comment could then select (or check) each user that should explicitly receive the comment via email (or notification of the comment) regardless of the user's (or Gemini's) settings regarding email alerts.

The goal is to take external communication (like normal email) and get it into Gemini when appropriate. It's also to ensure that feedback is obtained when needed.

Have you seen the3rd Party - Mail Processor Add-on at all? It will process emails and create new issues and comments to existing issues. Sounds like it migh tbe helpful for part of what you are trying to achieve?

Please have a look at www.mailboxprocessing.com
