Upgrade to 3.5.4 leads to: Server Error in '/Gemini' Application. Attempted to read or write protect

web-app

Hi,

We have upgraded our Gemini installation from 2.0.5 to 3.5.4. After that we transfered the database to another machine. We also transfered the web application to a new IIS machine (64 bit). This last machine was already prepared with 3.5.3 that seems to function OK. The last step was to upgrade the web app from 3.5.3 to 3.5.4, by replacing all files and keep the web.config.

This resulted in an initially working Gemini 3.5.4. However after half an hour or so, all of a sudden we got an error message as posted at the end of this message. This happens right after login (Windows authentication).

We will now downgrade to 3.5.3 so that we can hopefully work again.

I'm wondering how this can be fixed, as I would like to keep up to date from now on.

Best regards,

Jan van de Pol TNO

Hello.

This issue is related to Teleriks and 64 bit machines. We are investigating.

Are you saying that you are still getting the error? or is it just the previous one?

I have two instances in the system log from just after the upgrade. However since then no other log-entries have shown up. I assume that the old build is responsible for these log entries somehow.

Seems to be fixed. Thanks for your quick response.
