Not sure if this is related, but each user can set a preference (My Profile screen) that determines where they are redirected AFTER issue creation and editing.

[/quote] wow, it doesn't work on your site either.. Do you think its an IE7 issue? Can you like install IE7 and see if you can re-produce this? I just tried my site with a computer with Firefox, and it is doing to same thing, not redirecting to the issue page. |

I think this might be some settings on your side as we have firefox and IE6 / 7 working fine. It might be a firewall as well. |

it might totally be firewall because we recently installed a newer one.
do you know what setting i need to request to change on the firewall? or do you know what exactly the postback is calling may be i can debug on my end? |

I do have 1 more question. how come the Cancel button works but the Save doesn't. How was the save button coded differently (other than saving the new text)? May be we can implement the same postback as the cancel button? or may be add a catch section in the save button, if redirect path not found, do what you did for the cancel button?

Since no one responsed to my previous post, i guess no one think that it is weird to have 2 seperate postback functions, one that MIGHT cause problem for company that has a tight firewall rules, but the other function works?..... |

/sigh..... of course they are different.. or else i won't have to start this whole post about me having problem getting back to the right page after edit?!?!!! Can you help by adding some try catch thing to redirect back to the issue, Seems you are not willing to... you are a better C#.net developer than i am, but at least i know how to utilitize try catch block and a session of ISSUE object.. Its ok if you want to change this, or at least try.. since i don't have the subscription for update yet. I guess everyone should be warned that if your company have to put the web server outside the firewall, you will absoultely hate how the post back on the edit DOES NOT POSTBACK To the right page. |

You have asked why one works and the other doesn't. We never said that we will not try and fix this. We are trying to find the exact issue, but you are not willing to cooperate. The fact is the we have a lot of customers who are running Gemini behind a firewall, and they are not experiencing the issues you are. |

Thank you for looking into this, my network people finally have time to setup trace for me. The firewall is blocking UrlReferrer. After searching some on google, I think that it is pretty commen for firewall to block this. Is it possible for you to change the postback after editing comments to not use this? Anyway thanks for the help. Sorry if i sounded too harsh before. My users were complaining every minute about Gemini is "not working", but i can't debug and fix the problem and network guys are always "BUSY" to setup trace for me.... Thank you
