Custom field & required

web-app
I added some custom fields and made and checked the required box. In older version the program would enforce the user to fill in the value. In version 2.0.2, it will not enforce the user when creating a new issue but it will enforce the managers if they were editing the issue.

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?

This is working as expected.

Seems like an ASP.NET issue:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cptools/html/cpgrfaspnetiisregistrationtoolaspnet_regiisexe.asp

Run this tool with "-c" option and should fix your problem.

I could not access the site, I needed the user name and password. Can you copy and paste the article here or something like that. Thanks.

Thanks a ton. I will try it later today. My boss wanted this fix but to be honest, I don't like him and I rather make his job more miserable and quit. LOL

I need help with the syntax

I type in the prompt > cd C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322
Then I type prompt> aspnet_regiis -c C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Gemini
I get invalid arguments. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks.

You should just run aspnet_regiis -c

Did that and it ran fine but it still does not enforce the required fields. It works fine on the server itself but not on the remote computers.

I tried the aspnet_regiis -ea then -c.

I also tried copying the files from framework folder to the client folder.

Nothing works.

Note. If you do not enter anything in title or description, the Gemini does stop the submit process and says title or description is required. It just will not work for custom field and I do have the required box checked.

Same results as mine but I am not sure if the reference number is a required field.

Interesting, when you asked for that I immediately tried it in IE and it worked. It does not work in Mozilla 1.0.7.

I meant Firefox 1.0.7. I am going to update it and see if that work.

Updating to Firefox 1.5.0.1 did not fix it. :(
