Issue attachments

web-app

Hi guys,

We have alot of external clients who used to be able to use the issue attachment feature to attach all the relevant files to an issue.

The issue comment attachments still work but they cannot attach files to the issue.  All they can see is the files already added and an add button(but no attachment control).

The only thing that allows them to add files to issues is when I add them to "Administer Issue" in the relevant projects.  This is not really an option for us as we specifically want to block certain functions per project.

Please advise how we get people to be able to add files to issues without giving them "Administer Issue" rights.

Hello,

Can you please confirm that they cannot see the Attachment option at the bottom of the "Create Issue" screen.

They can see it, but if they select a file to upload and add the issue the file is not under the "Attachments" tab.  Under the attachment tab after the issue has been created, they can see the "Add" button, but not the file selection control.

So you cannot see the link to download attachments for the issue.

You should see the main issue attachment right underneath the issue description (not in the tabs).

No as per my first comment they cannot add attachments.  They can see files that have been added by an issue administrator but cannot add their own files.

Have a look on the countersoft gemini site: http://gemini.countersoft.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=1730&PROJID=2

Without logging onto that gemini, click on the attachments tab, it only shows an Add button without the file selection control.  This is exactly what our clients see and they have proper credentials(our system doesn't allow guests).

Ok, got you now. You need to give them edit comment permission.
