Configuring Notifications
We just upgraded to 2.2 from 2.1 and found a quirky issue. In 2.1 you could set the notifications globally in the web.config. We had these set so that we onyl received a single email when comments were posted. Our staff was starting to go nuts getting three emails each time an issue was touched and this fixed it. in 2.2 it looks like these settings are now set in the "Email Alerts" section of each project. The issue with this for us is that we have 80 or so porjects and making the settings on each project for each staff member is unmanageable.
Is there a ways to set these notification settings globally in the latest version of Gemini? Any help would be appreciated!

In 2.2 the settings have been moved to the Administration page. However, I am not sure which settings you are referring to. |

If you go to a project and click "Email Alerts" you will see them. In previous versions these options were assigned on a global basis and not on a per project basis. In effect, I would like to step back and apply these globally, or at least make some global defaults that users could override if they wish. |

If I understand you correctly, you wish to globally STOP certain email types. The reason people did this, was as you say, to reduce the amount of email traffic. Since 2.2, the Gemini Scheduler by default batches up email alerts for an issue. You can configure the batch interval from Administration --> SMTP Configuration. It's not quite what your after, but it will reduce the amount of emails being sent out. Commercial License holders can also download the Source Code for the Gemini Scheduler. Sorry if we disappoint.

Thanks for the reply Harvey. After living with 2.2 for a few days the emails are getting really annoying. However, we have found another email notification issue. |
