Gemini 3.1 slow performances

web-app

Hello

We just moved to Gemini 3.1 and we have some strange behaviour.
As the behaviour varies between the machines the app runs on, I would like to know what the following settings do or where ther are used:
- Full gemini Url
- Enforce Gemini Url

Thanks,
Alain

We have a performance site to show our customer that Gemini is very fast even with large number of issues: http://performance.countersoft.com

When do you experience the problems?

The full Gemini url setting is the URL for the Gemini installation, this is used for page redirects, images, and email alerts.

Enforce Gemini URL will stop Gemini from trying to derrive the URL and use the above setting all the time. By default it is set to no as most clients forget to set the full url.

Hi,

We actually did some additionnal developements (with bad design) and that caused the bad performance.
I installed the original Gemini App on the same database and everything was ok.
Strange is that it worked perfectly fast in the dev environment but once in test it was slow. (I'm investigating on that...)

Thanks anyway for your answer.
Should I set the Url and Enforce Url settings or not ?

Regards,
Alain

We recommend to set the full Gemini URL but not enforce it.

Hi again,

I did set the full gemini Url and enforce = "false"

but when I logout, my server name in the URL gets converted to its IP adress.
And so he thinks he's not logged in and cannot access to the logout page.
So I get redirected to login page.
And when I enter the credentials, I'm finally logged out :-)

Setting enforce to true works fine so for the moment I did that.
But your advice was to set it to false... so?

Other point:
The fonts (Project name for example or "Additional information" inside an issue detail) are huge on Internet Explorer and fine in Firefox.
Is that normal?

Regards,
Alain

As said before sometimes (on some servers setup) derriving the URL does not work, so set enforce to yes.

As for the font, please sse: http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/10711.aspx
