I have a custom field called "Affected User Name", it points to a table that contains about 10,000 rows.

I found out that when I edit an item with this Custom Field, All rows will be retrieved to the web page.

It does not perform a ad-hoc sql lookup against the Database. I mean a type an R, it should only returned those rows with an R inside the name.

The performance is significantly affected.

Any way to solve this ? I have followed your doc to set this up.
