"Item Key" missing when viewing an item

In Gemini v5.1.2.3579: although "Item Key" is part of a template's screen (at the top of the list, and Everyone has rights for it), the item key (a label/string like "PROJ-1234") is not shown when viewing an item of a project which has this template assigned (see attachment with screenshots).

What could be wrong? Or do I missunderstand the meaning of "Item Key"?

Item key will not be show in the view item page. The id is show on the blue bar next to the project code, so it is not needed.

For us it would be useful to see the full key "PROJ-1234" in the item (and for what else is it possbile to configure its appearance in the screen?), because since Gemini4 (where I could see the key) I'm used to copying it into a forwarded mail's subject (to get an incoming mail added to an item's comments). At the moment I'm forced to "construct" the key in the mail's subject manually, which is a bit painful.

And I cannot use the new Outlook plugin therefore, because it does not allow me to choose the appropriate item and relies on an already existing and "single threaded" communication path. But sometimes we get emails from several reporters concerning one item, which need to get added.

You can use the workaround i posted here. It puts the issue summary to the description section in following format: "PROJ-1234 Title of the issue"
