Gemini 5: Automated email to Issue creator
When an issue is changed, I would like that an email is sent to the creator (the user who created the issue).
How do I configure this?
I have checked all three check boxes at the page Systems > Alerts (Send email alerts, Auto-email creator/reporter, Auto-email assigned resource).

Yes, SMTP is configured and works fine (e.g. emails are sent when new issues are created). Do I need to configure any specific Alert Template? As of now, only the four standard Alert Templates are there (Created, Resourced, AppNavAlerts, Watchers). |

Sorry, not sure I follow. Do users get an email when items are created? If so, do you want them to get updates when they are updated? |

Yes, when an issue is created, the assigned resource gets an email. This works fine. Though, when the assigned resource makes changes to the issue, I want the creator of the issue to get notifications via email of the updates (primarly when the issue is closed). |

We have a plugin that will add the creator and resource as followers to the item, thus alerting them on any change to the item. So you can use that or ask the creator to create a card with the filter set to "submitted by me" and subscribe to notifications. |

Ok, so I need a plugin then. Where can I find that? (We have both internal and external users, and I do not want to ask all users to create an AppNav card + subscription. There is always a risk that a user fails doing this.) |

Please download the auto follow plugin: http://www.geminiplatform.com/downloads/v5/Countersoft.Gemini.AutoWatchers.zip Unblock it and extract the dll to the app_data\plugins folder and recycle the Gemini application pool. |

Saar, Will you post a list of available plugins? We have a test deployment of Gemini 5 and we're debating upgrading to it but we haven't been able to get it working as we'd like yet. A list of available plugins would be helpful. If you could list them here, that would be a great benefit to myself and others. Thank you, Chuck |
