v5.1 can't view the site after upgrading

usage
  1. I upgraded from 3.1 to 4.2 - browsed the site ok no problem
  2. I then upgraded from 4.2 to 5.1. I can't browse the the site. The URL takes/redirect me to http://IP/gemini/account/login?returnurl=%2fgemini.brtrc.com%2fMain.aspx

The only problem that I think possible went wrong is in step 4 of Upgrading Docs: http://community.geminiplatform.com/docs/all/page/256/upgrading-4-2-to-5-1/

I am not certain what it means here:

Copy the contents of the Gemini Web Application folder into your current web application folder (removing all existing files first)

From the CountersoftGeminiv510.zip folder I downloaded, The Gemini Web App folder contains only: AppCode, Appdata, Assets, Views, bin folders, and files favicon.ico, global.asax, web.config, 72x72.png, apple-touch.png

It is a lot fewer folders/files than in v4.2/Gemini Web Application folder. Am I supposed to delete EVERYTHING from Gemini Web Application folder of previous version before copying over to my production Gemini Web Application folder?

Yes, delete all (backup first). Which version of IIS are you running?

if I delete ALL from the Web App folder and copied 10 items from the 5.1 Web App folder over, browsing the site, it gave me this error:

Directory Listing Denied This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.
