Is there any documentation explaining how the emails are created from email templates and how to customize the templates? Are there any examples?

According to About, we're running the latest version. This is displayed at the bottom of the page: v4.2.1 (build 3250)

If you go to the Countersoft Gemini Scheduler Service folder you can edit the Mailtemplates folder to customize your own alerts.

I am aware that I can go to that folder to modify the templates. My question wasn't that I was looking for where the templates are located. I am looking for documentation and examples.

ANSWER

You would not be able to have a different structure for each different type of alert.

When you open up the Countersoft Gemini Scheduler Service\MailTemplates\html folder you are presented with a list of files. The order of theses files (IssueLink.en-GB, CommonHeader.en-GB, IssueDetail.en-GB, IssueChangeLog.en-GB, IssueDescription.en-GB, IssueComment.en-GB, CommonFooter.en-GB) will be shown exactly the same way in the email alert.

If you wish to move Description to the top of the template simply edit the IssueDetail.en-GB file, remove the content from the file and replace it with the content from the Description file. Once done copy the content from the IssueComment.en-GB file and paste it under the Description.

Please make sure once you have done this that the Description file and Comments file are empty.
