IE9 and TinyMCE editor bugs
We just switched from the old editor to the TinyMCE editor. Overall the new editor is better (e.g. line breaks usually work now) but we're still seeing some problems in Internet Explorer 9.0. Any idea if fixes to these problems are coming soon?
- The editor sometimes comes up with no cursor showing and no ability to start typing to enter ay text. Reloading the page sometimes fixes the problem.
- Inserting lines in a bullet-point list is broken. To repro: create a new bullet list, type some text, then move the cursor back to the start of line and press Enter to add a new bullet. The bullet is added but you can't actually edit that line-- when you cursor-up to try to get to the newly inserted line, the cursor skips to the line above the newly inserted one
- intermittently, being unable to type in any newlines. I enter a newline and the cursor moves to the next line and then immediately returns to the previous place it was.
Known problems? These problems don't occur in Chrome, but I prefer not to use Chrome because using IE as my default browser enables me to easily find bugs in our product that our developers miss because they all use Chrome and FF.
