I have installed the desktop app. with the same credentials and that connects fine with Gemini.

Which version of the DNN module are you running? Can you check the version of the Countersoft commons dll?

What is the url you have specified? It should be http://your server/gemini

Also, try and put the api key as well.

I have Gemini installed as a subdomain.: Http://gemini.mydomain.com

Using the api key makes no difference.

In the desktop application it works ok.

We have just tested it and it works out of the box for us. Can you pleas check if the Gemini site is accesible from the web server (wheer DNN is installed)?

Hello Saar,

The site can be reached from the server where it is installed. With the full url and with localhost/gemini

I added another user, just to be sure, but that didn't worked either.

I must be doing something wrong on my side, but I don't know what.

Is it ok to have Gemini as a subdomain as I did? (http://gemini.mydomain.com) Thanks.

Sure, that shouldn't be an issue at all. Is it possible to check the request and response from Gemini on the DNN server using fiddler or similar tool?

I am not familiar with Fiddler, I couldn't make up what response the server did after request.

BUT, I installed the DNN module on a portal that runs DNN 5.6.2 and it works right away. Installed on two other portals running 6.1.2, not working. Installed on another instance of DNN, 5.6.2, runs like a charm.

So, I think it is an issue with DNN 6.X. and not with my server or DNN instance. There are other posts here that I believe have the same issue.

You said it worked out of the box, on a DNN 6.x portal?

Regards, Bert

We have used the latest from web platform installer, 6.1.3 community edition for IIS. Pointed the module to our live Gemini (http://gemini.countersoft.com) and it worked first time.

The only thing I can think about is that you are not running the correct version of the module, but as you've said it is the correct one (4.1.0.3106).

Which DNN version and edition are you running?

I'm running Dnn CE version 06.01.03 (108) And checked the dll again, it's version 4.1.0.3106

We are on exactly the same versions. I can only guess that it might be permissions / firewall issue on the server. Can you try it on your desktop?

Yes I will do that again I'll start all over. If it works for you than it must be related to my server or installation. Strange tough that it works on an older version of DNN. It's on the same server.

Thanks for your help!
