"canned responses" to close issues

We'd like to have "canned responses" via email that we can send back to external users to respond or close issues. Is this possible? Is Atlas required to do this?

Are you looking to add a comment when closing the issue or amend the email template for a closed issue?

Ideally there would be a number of possible email responses based on the issue type. We'd be able to pull this and send to the external user, so we don; have to enter the same resolution as comments again and again.

Not possible at the moment, but we are looking to do that in version 5.1, which is due out Q3 2012.
