Field Visibility - Version Affected
We want to make the Version Affected field invisible. I unchecked the Affected Ver. Desc. field in the Field Visibility scheme, but it didn't take away the field. Is that the right field? Is there somewhere else to set it?

You need to make sure that you have changed the correct scheme. Project uses a scheme but when viewing, creating or editing an item the visibility scheme is by type (Administration -> Type) |

I double checked and yes I did the correct schemes. Is the Affected Ver. Desc. field the one that goes with Version Affected on the issue create screen? I am not sure I understand the rest of your response - what type? |

The type of the item (issue) determines the visibility scheme. |

This may be better suited for a new topic, but...I'm working with Carrie who posed the original question. I understand your response and am able to modify visibility based on a given type. However, it seems that the Field Visibility Scheme would better be associated with an Issue Type Scheme rather than an Issue Type. For example, the "Change Request" issue type is used in multiple Projects/Schemes. However, one project owner group has requested the Version Affected field be removed. If a change is made at the type level, field visibility is affected across all projects/schemes. Any insight? |

I that case we recommend to create another type (at the moment). Feel free to add it to our list: htpp://gemini.countersoft.com |
