Issues with Gemini Scheduler 37 running on Windows 2008 R2

Dear all

I have a terrible issue with Gemini Scheduler 3.7 running as a Windows Service on Windows 2008 R2.

I have successfully installed the scheduler, run some tests, check windows log files, evertyhing seems to be fine until I keep receiving same email alert over and over again, every 5 minutes. This applies for each notification email; customer are of course annoyed and the managers went crazy so I had to uninstall the scheduler.

What I have noticed is that the number of Counter Scheduler processes on Windows Task Manager is keep growing and never stopped. There were 20 instances of Counter-soft.Gemini.Schedulerexe at some point, I have killed all, restarted windows service but the problem get back

Anyone else had the same problem?

Thanks a lot Nicolae

How many records do you have in the gemini_issuealerts table? Are there any errors in the application log from the scheduler service?

I have 71 records and there are no application log error related to scheduler only one related to the Gemini which I don't think has anything to do with the scheduler

What is the interval setting for the scheduler service (Administration -> SMTP in the web app)?

Also, please stop the service, start it and stop it after 5 seconds. Check the gemini_issuealerts table, is the count going down?

The interval is set to 3 minutes. I have stop and start the service. Unfortunately number of records from gemini_issuealerts it's still the same, but I get same notification alert every 3 minutes. More than this, when I look at the Windows Task Manager I see 20 instances of Counter-soft.Gemini.Schedulerexe already and it's keep growing

Thank you very much Nicolae

Which version of Gemini (web) are you running? Stop the service, kill all the schduler exe process. Start the service and stop it stright away. How many processes are there?

I have manage to fix all problems by cleaning that table. This also fixed the problem with the Scheduler process.

That tabled contained a few alerts with start date in the future: 2029 (the system time was wrong right after a fresh install and we correct it after GEmini was already running)

So in my opinion the wrong dates was the cause for all this strange behaviour

Thank you very much for support

Nicolae
