How to get Gemini Desktop 2008 Beta 1 to work - login problem
Hi, I'm trying to use Gemini Desktop 2008 Beta 1 and there is login problem:
Full Gemini URL: http://airforceone/gemini - this URL usualy works in web browser.
Username: stepan - I'm using this username for Gemini in web browser
Password: <mypassword> - I'm using this password for Gemini in web browser
When I click on Login button I see red blinking exclamations near input fields. What's wrong?
PS: On the server side is Gemini 2.2.7

Do you have Microsoft WSE 3.0 installed on the web server? |

Issue seems to be with the Firewall setting on your workstation. Please make sure that access for CounterSoft.Gemini.Client.Desktop is not blocked. Thanks. |

No, it is not blocked. I switched firewall off and it doesn't work. |

I'm able to connect to your server with 2.2. But I can't connect with 2008. It is the same as on our server. |

Ok, seems like an issue with the installer. Can you please try uninstalling it and the install agagin? |

Thanks, we have created a BETA with extra logging. Can you please uninstall and install this: http://www.countersoft.com/Downloads/Beta/CounterSoftGeminiDesktop2008Beta1.exe It should log errors to a file within your installtion directory. Please send us the contents of it. |

Thanks, the reason of problem is probably Windows Vista. When I start Gemini Desktop as admin then it starts, but if it is started as common user it doesn't work. |
