SMTP Test Works, Can't Get Issue to Send to Anyone

emails

I configured the SMTP and ran the test and it worked exactly as desired.  I ensured that notifications for ALL things related to issues (created, updated, resolved, etct) were enabled in the 'Notifications' and in each project.  I created a test issue and no emails were sent.  When I go to the Systems Log, this the message I get as a consequence of creating the issue.

"The handshake failed due to an unexpected packet format."

As an aside, this forum is very helpful and has helped me work through most issues - thank you for your help.

Are you using SSL? Usually you'll get that when using the wrong port. I know you've said the test works but please double check your SMTP settings (port and authentication).

Thank you for the reply - I double checked the SMTP settings, the test works.  It seemed to start working over the weekend.... However, when I create an issue everyone gets 3 emails - all notification of 'CREATE' of the same issue (not one for assignd, updated, etc).  Is this related to the fact I have 3 users, all with settings to receive notifications for each project?

Also - SSL is set to 'NO'

One more question - how do I get the field 'Versions Affected' to show in the email alerts?

Are you using the mail plugin to send alerts?
Are the emails identical?

To add affected version(s) to the alert amend the details template and add $issue.AffectedVersionsName to it

They are identical - I have the Mail-Plug-In selected - should I have the scheduler?

The templates are under the templates directory (within the Gemini site)

I am sorry - I have the free version and I don't see the option to select details for the project in the Project Template.

This is a physical directory within the Gemini site not on the actual web page.

Okay, for everyone's reference, I found the issue email alert details in the template file at:

C:\Program Files\CounterSoft\CounterSoft Gemini Issue Tracker\Gemini Web Application\templates\mail\html

I opened the 'Common-IssueDetail.vm' file with a notepad and made the appropriate edit.
