Marking bug as Won't Fix doesn't affect Estimated Effort

Issues are occasionally determined to be invalid and are thus marked Won't Fix. However, the Estimated Effort for these issues is still included in the total Estimated Effort for the version. Am I supposed to set Estimated Effort to zero whenever marking an issue as Won't Fix?

Yes, as we can't assume you have not spent time on the issue.

I guess I wasn't clear. I'm not talking about Time Logged. I'm talking about Estimated Effort. If an issue is marked Won't Fix, how could the Estimated Effort be anything but zero?
