Versions not appearing if parent has been archived

web-app

I have noticed that if the parent of my version has been archived then the child version will no longer appear (the child is not archived) in my issue filter list.

Is this by design or a bug? It seems to me that if the parent has been archived then the child version should appear as a top level version.

Obviously I can workaround it by removing the parent version association when archiving the parent - but ideally I wanted to keep this hierarchy.

Might be an upgrade issue. Is your installation new or an upgrade?
Just tested it on 3.7.2 and it shows on the filters page (issues).

This happens on a clean installation of 3.7.2.

I create 4 versions all children of each other.

V1 ->V2 ->->V3 ->->->V4

I go to create an issue in this project and I can select any of the 4 versions as the Fixed in Version. I can modify an existing issue with the Fixed In drop-down and select any of these versions.

I archive V1, V2, and V3.

After a refresh I can no longer select V4 when creating or modifying an issue.
