Change Field Names?

 Are field names changeable? For instance we would like to change the labels of Project and Component to something more appropriate for our usage.

Yes, all labels (names) are stored in XML files.
The best way to do this by using the Override.xml under the languages\YOUR LANGUAGE CODE directory.

Is this also the case for removing items? For instance I would like to remove the comments field when creating a new user.

I have changed the field name of "Dashboard" in our Override.xml and in our Resource.xml files. Then I restarted IIS on the server. It still has the old name "Dashboard" on the web GUI. Can you please tell me how to force the app to re-read the Override.xml and/or the Resource.xml files?

Also, try and save the web.config file.
