Uninstall Outlook Add-on on Vista Ultimate 32bit

ms-outlook
add-ons

Hello,

I tried to uninstall the Add-on. The Uninstall routine starts but breaks with an error after 1-2 minutes:

"The installer was interrupted befor CounterSoft Outlook Addin could be removed. You need to restart the installer to try again."

Did you have outlook open at the time? Best to try to uninstall after a reboot.

I have tried this but I got the same error.

The problem is, that the Add-On stop working with my Outlook2007-Client. My idea was to fix this problem with installing the Add-On new.

How are you uninstalling (from control panel)? Did you try re-running the installer?
To remove manually:

  • Delete the Gemini outlook add-in directory
  • Open regedit and delete the HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\CounterSoft\Gemini\Outlook Add-in key (folder)
  • HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall{3C870FB9-237D-4782-8FA1-98DDB6E332B5} key (folder)
Now run the Gemini outlook installer and select repair.

I try to uninstall it both from control panel and by clicking on the msi-file.

After delete the directorys in Outlook and in the Registry I get the following error-message, when executing the msi with double-Klick and select "Repair":

"The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing the package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2203."

Using the remove-button also don't work.

Any suggestions?

It seems to me, that the msi-installer detected fragments of the outlook-addin. When dropping everything than maybe the installer will work. What does the outlook-add-in install else?

Thanks for the hint. It has not help me directly. However, I have copied the msi file into c:\temp. The installation works now. :-)

Thanks for your help.
