Strange behavior after upgrade to 3.6.5

web-app

Our DB is running on SQLServer 2008. I've just applied the upgrade from 3.6 to 3.6.5. Ran the "Create_Procs.sql".
Now our tickets no longer show Comments (the Comments tab is present and shows a count for the comments), and the menus which previously would display when you hovered the mouse over a link (e.g "Projects", "Administration", etc) are no longer displayed. No entries in the system log, but there is an "Error on page" message at the bottom of the IE8 window. Clicking on that (from the System Log page) gives me: Webpage error details

Message: Object doesn't support this property or method Line: 58 Char: 5 Code: 0 URI: http://gemini/Gemini/admin/ErrorLog.aspx

Similar condition on pretty much every page. For example, on an Issue page (where I can't see any of the comments): Webpage error details

Can you please try and clear the browser's cache?

From which version did you upgrade?

Clear cache does not change anything. Upgrade from 3.6.0 => 3.6.5.

Luckily I can roll back to 3.6.0.

Did you use the 3.6.5 web.config file?

Did you use the new web.config file?
Also, try clearing the browser's cache or use another for a test.

Hi MarkWing,

it would be very nice if it possible to ask Sean, if his Version 3.6.5 runs and where the Prblem was.

Normaly, anybody should write the Solution too and not only the Problems.

thx Norman

Actually, my solution was to keep running 3.6 and not bother messing around with this point release. Real life got busy and there did not seem too much in the 3.6.5 that was critical to our implementation plan.

And, just to go off on a bit of a tangent: The requirement that we keep editing this darned "web.config" file every time there is an update is a bit of a pain. It would be nice if the bits we have to customize for our sites could just be stored in an override.config file
