Linking to issue lists

web-app

I need a permanent link to search results. There's an open task for this (<a href='http://gemini.countersoft.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=2370&PROJID=2'>2370 - Sharing Views over URL</a>, but it's still unresolved. My biggest need is to send a URL that points to the list of tasks inside a particular version, since that's what we use for change management. Having seen how this can be solved on the version info page, I played around this morning and came up with this:

http://example.com/Issues.aspx?version=1234&project=56&closed=false

which seems to work. However, these URLs are going to be archived away and need to be accessible in the future. Am I safe to use them this way? Is there something better?

Yes, you are safe to use these urls. Nothing better at the moment, until we introduce shared filters.

I'm not sure in which version it happened, but I just discovered this morning that these URLs are no longer working, and all of the URLs logged away in our change management system are broken as a result. We're on 3.7.0.

*Please*, can these URLs be fixed to work again in the next release (assuming they've not already been fixed in 3.7.1)?

They should work, when you say they aren't, what happens?

Bizarre - it's working now. This morning, however, it definitely was not - I tried more than a dozen recent and archived links, and all of those failing, I tried manually editing a link with a variety of alternative parameter names trying to figure out what had changed. Nothing worked. A coworker tried and experienced the same issue on his computer.

What we were seeing was reminiscent of how Gem behaves when its session data and URL data don't agree. Basically, we would get no task list or the wrong task list - like it was maybe using the wrong project.

We're using the same browsers now that we were this morning, and we've not logged out of Gemini, restarted the browser, or done anything similar that would forcefully clear state information. We've just been navigating Gemini to go about our normal business.
