SnagIT add-on install question

web-app

Hello,

I saw the news item announcing the Snagit add-on and wanted to use this. I watched the webcast which does a great job showing how to configure the output value in Snagit, but I could not find any documentation on how to install the add-on itself. I downloaded the zip file expanded it and have two dlls, one exe and a readme.txt file. The readme does not say anything about installing the add-on but it does refer to the webcast. What do I do with these files?

Do I copy them to the Gemini server folder somewhere?
Do I copy them to the workstation where Snagit is installed, if so where?

Thanks in advance for the installation steps!

All you have to do is save these files on the client machine (where snagIT is installed) and configure the Gemini custom output (point to the EXE you have saved).

Can you suggest which folder to copy the files to on the target PC?

C\Windows\system32\

C:\Program Files\TechSmith\SnagIt 8

Some other folder or doesn't it matter?

Thanks!

Doesn't really matter. But I would create a Gemini folder under the snagIt 8 folder.

I setup my output program as your webcast video shows. I have Snagit version 8.2.3 and Gemini 3.1.0 build 2179.

When I try to send a capture to Gemini, I get the following error window:

---------------------------
CounterSoft Gemini Snagit Capture
---------------------------
Error encountered.

Microsoft.Web.Services3.Security.SecurityFault: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized ---> System.InvalidOperationException: WSE563: The computed password digest doesn't match that of the incoming username token.

Followed by twenty lines of further nested stuff.

My command line parameters are similar to your readme example:
"<CaptureFilename>" "http://mxgemini/Gemini" "manager" "bz2jxkbcna"

Any suggestions for resolution?

Thank you!

Well, I put the one that was listed in the readme.txt "bz2jxkbcna". Is there a unique one for each install or is that the correct one? If it is unique to my install, can you tell me where to find it?
