TimeType DDL empty?

Just upgraded from 3.1.x to 3.5.2, and two things:  I can't figure out how to CLOSE an item (sure its in the manual) but this new field TimeType is empty.

Did I miss something on the upgrade?

I like the new layouts too, BTW.  Nice upgrade.  And the fact that I can deselect ALL when doing a batch update.  THAT was really needed.

UPDATE:  My bad, it's NOT in the manual, neither is closing an issue.

Check your issue status workflow. Make sure that your user group is allowed to close issues.

As for time types, you need to add them in the admin section.

Found the timetypes after I posted.

Everyone(authenticated) and specific project Groups all have permissions to close projects, as always.

Issue Status (list) unchanged (still has Closed, In Progress, etc)

Issue Workflow (list) unchanged.

Edit the issue workflow and edit the status that the issue is in at the moment. Make sure that your user group is selected so you can move from that status.

Also, make sure that if the issue has sub issues then they are all closed.

Ok, maybe I'm not explaining myself clearly.

I'm looking at a task, right now.  I can "edit [+]" which allows me to edit the same things I typed in to create the task.

I have below that comment [+], move, copy, delete, vote, stop watching issue, Update issue description, print friendly.

that's it.  Am I looking for something in particular?  the CHANGE link doesn't do it either, just basically allows me to "inline edit" the same thing the edit link allows me to do (which does NOT include Status)

I cannot change status or resolution because they don't exist on my screen or in any of the other 25 projects whether I click edit or not.  my security groups (Global, Project)  haven't changed from the previous versions (all 3's), but I checked, we're all still allowed to 'close' our tasks.  Neither have the security schemes.  this is an upgrade.

I was going to post a screen shot here, but I can't.

I have a team of people here and no one can close or change the status of any of the 60 open tasks (and growing).

I need a resolution asap.  I've lost 2 hours of programming time today monkeying with your upgrade.

Lastly, I checked the Issue Workflow under Administration, double-checked the groups, etc., still nada.

Aer you sure that the field visibility scheme for edit for the issue type is configured to show the status and resolution fields?

that's it.  is that new to this version (I don't remember what the prev. versions had).  would the database update have reset those settings by default?

The default was not to show them, so that might have been the issue.
