Gemini Desktop & VS2008 addin are very slow when loading issues

Hi there! We have a problem with the Gemini Desktop and the VS2008 addin. Both of them are extremely slow when loading the issues. We currently have only 159 issues, and EVERY TIME the application is started, it takes between one and two minutes to load, where the application user interface is completely locked up (does not update). This is a huge annoyance.

Which versions of Gemini and Gemini add-ons are you using?

For each session, initially these two add-ons fetch all issues and their associated data e.g.  attachments, comments etc. So, some lag is expected.

This said, we have tested extensively and found on normal it takes between one and two minutes to fetch issues from our Gemini Live website, which has over 2,000 issues.

How is your Gemini  instance hosted? Internally at your organization or are you using our Gemini Hosted service?

Hi bikram. I am a co-worker to mantaray. :)
We are running gemeni on a internal hosted Windows 2008 / IIS7 / SQL2008 server. We are using gemini 3.1.2 build 2257 and desktop 3.1.2 build 2235
All our other applications on same server and network are running smooth. I believe it therefore must be a problem with gemeni webservice. Does the webservce have any trace or log I can watch?

Hi! I must apologize. I had assumed that I would get an email notification when a response was given to my question, and as we have been using the web based gemini, in addition to being very busy, I quite honestly forgot... But I see my co-worker has supplied you with the answers to your question. I have now turned on email notification, so this shouldn't happen again.
