Allowing customers to get notifications

web-app

Hi. We have Gemini set up so that customers have rights only to see and post issues on their own projects. What I want to be able to do is send a notifcication to the customer when a new issue is posted or resolved on their project. i.e. A manager [me] might create an issue and assign that issue to a developer. In this case, I get a notification and the developer gets a notification. Is it possible to choose another use on the project who would also get a notification? Thanks Marcus

Users can set their prefernces regarding email alerts, so your customers can select to be alerted when an issue is created.

The other (manual) way to do this by adding the customer to the issue watchers list.

Thanks. Sounds like it's possible then. As the admin user how can I select a user and then assign them as a watcher on every issue posted on the project they have access to?

Unfortunately, you will need to go issue by issue and add the watchers via the issue watchers tab (when viewing the issue).

You could create an sql query to that for you.
