cannot enter administration section

web-app

i've recently installed version 3.0.3 (after having the same problem with version 3.0.2). i can login and see sample issues, but i cannot enter the administration menu at all in order to insert the license key. i keep getting the error:

The page cannot be found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.     i have to say that all the administration files exist in the virtual directory. i also saw that the authorization tag in the web.config file is set to deny. i've changed it to allow, but it had no effect. i've also tried to type the direct URL address of some files in the directory, but i got the same error. i have to say that all other directories can be accessed and has not problem. i've also tried to give the iusr_... user extended permission to the directory.   the installation process was quite easy. i've installed the web application. installed the sample database (i didn't ran any scripts) and changed the connection string in the web.config file.   thanks.

Can you try to create an html file in that directory and browse to it? Does it work?

Seems like permissions issue to me.

Ok, but aspx does not work even if you change the web.config to allow all?

Are you running under .NET 2.0? Can you check IIS for the directory security on the admin directory?

you are right, the aspx does not work.   i am running under .NET 2.0 and in the directory security page, the "enable anonymous access" is checked for user IUSR_... and the "Integrated windows authentication" is checked as well.

Can you try reinstalling .NET: asp_regiis -i

Also, try installing on another server.

the asp_regiis didnt help, but i've installed it on another machine and it works.   thanks a lot.   i have two more questions: 1. why can't i see/edit the exsiting users in the evaluation version? 2. is there a way quickly change the assignment of an issue (the Assigned To field) without having to edit the entire issue (just like the status and resolution fields)?   sharon.

You can edit other users by clicking the search button in the users admin page. We do not show any by default.

There is no quick assignment (except of assign to me) at the moment. We are looking into including this in future versions.
