Readonly Users In Desktop App

Whilst the desktop app correctly disables the save button on the Issue's detail form for a R/O user, I think it also should disable the data entry fields.

Also, any idea when an updated Desktop Beta will be released?

Next release is due Jan 2007.

In our view there is no need diable controls for read only users.

Ouch - it's not particularly usable in its present Beta form.

I suspect you will then get a lot of support queries from users who wonder why they are able to update data and then not save it.

I downloaded what I think was Beta 1.1, and tried it out.  This was one of several feedbacks I posted on here.  The main one which is making me struggle is the large fonts issue.
