Problem installing Gemini 3 under Vista SP1

web-app

Hi,
I installed gemini 3 with the sample database and modified web.config accordingly. When I try to login (using manager as username/password) using firefox username/password are accepted and then I'm redirected to page "http://localhost/Gemini/Main.aspx?x=1" and I get an error by the browser. It sais that probably the problem is caused by cookie rejection. However the application is installed in localhost and there are no cookie restrictions on my browser.
If I try with ie then after username/password are accepted IE's progress bar starts working but nothing is happening. No redirection after waiting for about 2 minutes.
In both browsers if I enter invalid password I get 'Incorrect name and/or password' error.

Can you please check the errorlog table in SQL?

Can you please check windows event log?

Also, check SQL permissions on the Gemini objects (tables, views and stored procedures).

Is this the EXE install?

There is also nothing in the windows event log.
I think that permissions are right. I tried both integrated authentication and sql server authentication with users that were db owners. I get 'invalid password error' in a proper so database is being read.
Yes it is EXE install.
Has Gemini3 been tested on Vista or I'm the first that is doing this.

Yes, Gemini 3.0 has been tested on Vista. Can you try the manual website install?

Are you running under the classic .net application pool?

No. That was the problem! Now that I changed it to 'classic .net app pool' it workes fine both in IE and firefox.
