You should be able to upload up to 40MB files already. What is the error you are getting?

Is that an attachment?

Was he attaching a file or using the editor's functionality?

He was to upload the file to the project document section.

Ok, we think it was an http timeout issue.

We have increased it, so it should be ok now.

Dear Gemini Team,
sounds great. I am looking forward for that release. By this way i got another question. Some of the developers want to upload files above 100 mb until 300 mb. Just 1 or 2 Files, it that possible with Gemini ?

I mean can Gemini handle files in this size ?

Yes, Gemini can handle this, but will need to be configured to allow such sizes.

Please send an email to support at countersoft dot com if you wish to change it.

Dear Gemini Team,
today we got a conference and talk about this problem. We got 2 big images we woould like to upload to Gemini and delete it after downloading ( we got 2 big companies, but they are far away from each other).

The one file is max. 300 Mbytes big.
The other is up to 2gb maximum.

It is possible to upload 2 gb files ? We want a limit of 10 gb it wouldn´t be more and we will delete after downloading.

It will be the perfect tool for us.

Thanks again!

Not sure I understand correctly.

You have 2 very large images that you want to upload to Gemini for a limited time?

What exactly are you trying to do?

Ok see,
our two companies are nearly 500 miles away from each other. We have 2 big projects running right now. They both are image files. The first one is maximal 300 mb big. The other one is an embedded Windows Image it will be splitt into 2 gb pieces, unfortunatley i don´t know how much parts. But they said a 10 gb limit would be fine.

The whole companie is right now working with gemini and the developers asked about to upload the images to Gemini and then after the other companie downloaded it we will delete it. So everything is in Gemini.

Ask if you don´t get what i mean.

Please keep in mind, this is just an idea from the developers of my companie to communicate which each other over Gemini. They just want to trade the Images a soon as possible and because Gemini is now accepted in our both companies it would be great.

Don´t hesitate to say it won´t work, it´s okay. It´s just an idea from the staff.

Thanks again :)

It is my understanding that Gemini will be used just as a store for this images so you can share them, correct?

There are a few issues here:

  1. Uploading these images will take a long time
  2. a single image can not exceed 2gb
  3. Your hosted setup allows for up to 2GB database size, although we can increase that at a cost.

Also, why not share these static images via a DVD / CD / FTP?

We are in the process of scheduling an upgrade to all our hosted services.

This will happen this month during a weekend.
