Scheduler Service

web-app

Hello,

I installed GEMINI Scheduler Service (V1.2) on our Gemini-Installation and set "Email Alert Engine" to "Scheduler Service". As far as I can see, there are still multiple e-mails send on changing several thing (like Status and Resolution and Comment ...) on same issue. Is there a way (as mentioned on other posts for V2.2) to configure Scheduler somehow?

Thank you in advance!

Hi,

By default, the scheduler batches up email alerts every 5 minutes. So, every 5 minutes you should only 1 email for an issue regardless of how many times the issue was changed.

You can configure this batch interval from Administration --> SMTP section.  Maybe to 15 minutes?

I have the scheduler running on a version 3.1.1 gemini installation (latest scheduler too) and changed this to 15 minutes.  I then commented and closed a few issues.  I received 2 emails for each .. 1 for the comment and 1 for the status change.

I have asked this in another post.  How does the scheduler work?  I thought it would batch up all the emails alerts, but from the post above, it sounds like it will only batch them up for a single issue within the interval time period.

Please explain what the statement : "Support for sending batched email alerts" means and how this is supposed to work.

thank you.

Did you receive the emails after a delay of minutes or stright away (more or less)?

Seems like the mailplugin is sending these, can you please try rebooting the webapp?

The scheduler weill rollup updates for issues (I have replied to the other post as well).

IIS or just update the web.config should do the trick
