Not possible to remove preset Issue Types?

When I try to remove some of the pre-existing Issue Types from the list, I get the confirmation dialogue and I click OK but nothing happens. Is it not possible to remove preset issue types from the list?

Thomas,

Remove them first from any Issue Type Scheme.  We will add a message to wanr admins next time.

Once removed from issue type schemes, you can move any assigned issues to other types and then delete the type.

There seems to also be an issue if you had a legacy type with the same name as the new one.  For example I had a type called "bug" and then after migrating it shows up twice, each one with its own icon.  When I set a scheme with the new icon and then try to delete the old type it does not work.

Make sure that you do not have any issues with this type. Use bulk move to the new type.

I removed all the issues as well as the associations and still cannot delete them.  As of today the web application is going flakey on me and not letting me into the main.aspx page.  I think I am going to try a reinstall.
