Scheduler Service installs, but actually doesn't

I go through the Gemini Schedulerer service install and everything seems to go ok, I type in all the required information and accept the default checkbox for Running it at the end of setup. When I click finish I go to the Services MMC snap-in and nothing is installed.

Any idea why the install doesn't seem to be going through? Most of the forum messsages about the schedulerer have problems with starting the service, but I can't even see the service (like it hasn't been installed).

Ideas?

Update... I ran installutil.exe to install the exe and it is showing up in the Services tool now. Seems like that part isn't happening with the installation package.

Hi,

I can confirm that the installer does indeed register the service and it should appear in the Services dialog.

It didn't register the service for us either.  We had to run installutil.exe to get ours going too.  Installed on a win2k3 server.
