Unassigning A User Resource From An Issue Using <Nobody>
When updating the "Assigned To" field on a Gemini Issue, in some of our projects it is possible to assign <Nobody> but on other projects the <Nobody> option does not exist for the "Assigned To" field.
Assigning <Nobody> appears to give the "Assigned To" field no value. Note that <Nobody> is not an assigned Resource for any of our projects.
This is causing us problems attempting to unassign a Resource from an Issue . We can set the Issue "Status" to Unassigned but because we cannot remove the Resource from the "Assigned To" field the Issue remains on their My Work list.
How do we get the <Nobody> option to appear in the list of "Assigned To" options for an Issue?

Are these projects that allow multi resources? If so, simply unselect the users by Ctrl + click on them. |

Thanks for that. Apparently they are projects that allow multi resources, and Ctrl+Click succeeded in unassigning the user from an issue and removing that issue from that user's list. |

This is because for a single select combo you can not deselect (Ctrl + click) |

Possibly so. |

You can not for multi resources. |

Does "multi resources" mean that there is more than 1 resource assigned to a project? We have 8 projects, all have multiple resources assigned to them, only 1 project is missing the <Nobody> entry in the Assigned To list on the Edit issue page. Why would that be? Surely it cannot be because that project has more than 1 resource assigned to it, as the other 7 project that do have <Nobody> also have more than 1 resource assigned. |

This is referring to resource assigned to issue not a project. Check you setting in the project admin -> general section. |

Brilliant! Thanks very much for the explanation. <Nobody> is now in the list and can be happily assigned. Thanks, Rod |

Of course, the reasoning behind why <Nobody> cannot be selected when it is a multi resource project doesn't really make sense. I'm not sure what sort of validation Gemini are doing on this field but I can't imagine it being rocket science to not allow <Nobody> and a resource to be assigned to an issue in a multi resource project. |
