Email of Issue Comments

web-app

I am having terrible trouble getting Gemini to email me Issue Comments. It is only telling me if a project has status change or has been updated. This has happened after upgrading to 2.2.

I have the settings in My Profile correct.

I have the settings under email alerts for the project correct.

i.e. i have Receive alert when Comment is added to issue selected.

Hi,

This is a known bug that will be fixed for next release.

Commercial License holders can download the Gemini Scheduler source code from the client portal and amend in the interim.

Is there a work around using the mail plugin?
We will try to release a new version of the Scheduler today that display's last comment.
Will this also fix the MailPlugin? I have yet to get the Scheduler to work. No errors in the Gemini Log but I get an authentication error in the event log.

"Error testing connectivity / authentication to clinet http://gemini.mysite.com/webservices"

I did everything mentioned in other threads related to that error. ie:

http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/5211.aspx

http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/5378.aspx

http://community.countersoft.com/forums/thread/5046.aspx

still no luck. so i just used the plugin.

We have just amended the Scheduler to display both Change Log for the issue and latest comment.

Will post shortly to website for download.

Getting back to your problem:

1. Ensure that the username/password specified in the Scheduler CONFIG file is a Gemini user with Gemini Admin rights.

2. Ensure you have installed WSE 3.0 (and rebooted machine as it is needed but MSFT don't tell you that).

Yes I did both of those. That was why I was so puzzled.

Hi,

v1.4 of the Gemini Scheduler has just been released and should meet your requirements.

As for the error, can you send event log entries to our support email?

Do check to ensure that the windows account under which the service is running can access Gemini web server (assumming it is on a different machine).

This topic is being continued via Support email address.

For those of you reading this post, it looks like a Microsoft WSE  problem.  We have offered to remotely login and check out the server.

I will post any resolution back here so others may also benefit.

We are still searching for a solution. I did an uninstall of WSE 2.0 sp3 just in case it was causing issues with 3.0. I did and uninstall and then reinstall of WSE 3.0.

We are still getting the 'connectivity/authentication to client' error.

Is Gemini running on a Medium trust level?

in the web.config it says:

<!-- UNCOMMENT the following line if you are running Gemini in Medium Trust Level -->
      <!--add key="hibernate.usereflectionoptimizer" value="False" /-->

that is the only reference to trust level I see.

RESOLVED.

Access to Gemini was behind Microsoft ISA.

Changed the URL in CounterSoft.Gemini.Scheduler.config file so that is resolved locally (e.g. http://servername:82/webservices) as opposed to going out coming back in via Microsoft ISA server (http://gemini.acme.com).

Hope this helps others.
