Possible to removed fields.

web-app

Hello All,

So my problem is that i'd like some fields removed from the application GUI entirely. Field we don't use under any circumstances. Now, in Field Visibility Scheme, i removed these fields. And when i navigate to Issues.aspx all is good in the world. However, when we enter bugs and when we are actually on the issue, we still see these fields. See following screenshots, we've removed "Severity";

Is there any way to not see them anywhere in the Gemini GUI?

TIA

You need to remove them from all schemes (edit, create, view and issue list).

Which version of Gemini are you running?

And i think they are removed for all users and schemes. I have 2 schemes, default and minimal. They both have severity checkbox unchecked.

We can not seem to replicate it, are you sure you are running 3.0.3?

Can you please send support your database?

Ok, got the issue. You have not assigned a visibility scheme to your types.

In the admin section, click on issue types and edit each type to assign it a field visibility scheme.

That did it thanks.

Just a suggestion....

This security scheme stuff is pretty wacky. I know i'm american and we arent' the smartest chaps in the world, but... this stuff is rather complicated. I think you should have some security scenarios in the documentation, that are the minimal setups. Not everyone wants to have seperate groups and seperate types etc. etc. I would have been fine with the minimal setup for security and then just got rid of my fields... just my .02

I realize it's a constant struggle with feature requests vs. complexity. Just wanted to put it out there. I feel your pain.
