Win Auth username changed, Access Denied now
We use Win Auth in Gemini. Recently a user's username changed. We updated AD and the account in Gemini. Now when they attempt to access Gemini they receive an access is denied message.
Any ideas?

Make sure that the user name contains the domain: DOMAIN\USer. |

Yes we simply changed it from DOMAIN\USER1 to DOMAIN\USER2 for example. But now when users logs on to domain under user2 and tries to view Gemini they get access denied. I setup an asp page that will display the auth_user just to ensure they are logging in to windows properly. |

Is your test page shows the correct user name?

Yes, the new username shows on the test page. |

And the username in Gemini is the same? Can you try renaming it and creating a new one for test? |

Renaming username doesn't work until I bounce the box. Creating a new account works right away. I'm using SQLServer for sessionstate, does that affect this? |

I can't see why this will make a difference. But might be worth while testing by bouncing the state server. |
